SINGER’S, THIS INVITAT= ION IS FOR YOU!

A CALL FOR SINGERS!

 

Do= you like to sing? If so, then the Branch County Community Chorus is for you!  There are no prerequisites, only a desire to join your sisters and brothers in song and have fun making beauti= ful music. 

 

The Branch County Community Chorus is seeking new membership for its upcoming 2007/2008 concert season. Open calls are scheduled at 6 p.m. on Tuesday September, 4th and 11th in the Choral Music Room = at the Coldwater High School Building, 275 N. Fremont Street, Coldwater, MI 49036. Rehearsals will be held at this location every Tuesday from 6:30p.m. – 9:00 p.m. anyone interested in singing –with or without previ= ous experience –is invited to join.

Gerald Blanchard, director of choral activities at KCC, conducts the Community Chorus. The 25-member choir is made up of community members and students just like you, performing choral works from various periods and genres. Members have a variety of musical backgrounds, which range from hav= ing very little formal musical training to those who have degrees in music. How= ever our average member typically sings in their local church choir.

Those who wish to join will have a brief vocal placement assessment and interview with the director. There is no formal audition process. All are Welcome! We are in great need of men, however openings are available in all voice areas.

 Choir members register for= the ensemble through the Kellogg Community College’s Enrichment Program at= the Grahl center, located at 1= 25 Seeley Street in Coldwater, Michigan.  For further details please co= ntact the Grahl= Center at (517) 278-3300 for registration information.
